The LCSO Children's Chorus Director, Matt Nelson will be leading a summer parks program in June called "Songs in the Summertime."  This program for young people will include both singing and music basics.  They are planning a few special appearances from LCSO musicians and an opportunity to sing for the community.

Music Program June 11 – June 21, 2:30 – 3:30 for ages 6 – 11 yrs.
Cost is $28 per child. Classes will be held at Cummings Lodge

This music program is a new collaboration that is an extension of the June Session of Art Camp through the La Porte Parks and Recreation Department. This summer, Art Camp will be led by artist & LCSO executive director, Lee Bauman.  Art Camp runs for two weeks in June and two weeks in July divided into age groups beginning at preschool and including elementary and middle school students.  Lee was a cofounder of the Art Camp program and comes back to teach participants about expressing themselves in visual arts through clay, drawing, painting, sand sculpture, tie dye and much more.

For great summer kids programs sign up at the City of La Porte Park Department and meet our creative staff at Cummings Lodge!
