Brush off your dancing shoes and get ready to dance the night away!

The La Porte County Symphony Orchestra, sponsored by The Robert J. Hiler Family Foundation, will present their final concert of the regular concert season. "That's Entertainment" a pops concert, will be performed on April 19, 2008 at the La Porte Civic Auditorium.

Pre-concert music beginning at 7:00 pm will be presented by the La Porte High School Show Choir under the direction of Thomas Coe. Music performed by the group will range from "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree" to Fascinating Rhythm"

The concert featuring the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra will begin at 7:30pm. On the program will be music from stage and screen. From "Forty Second Street" to "Wicked", there will be music for everyone. Jenny Hartson and Rick Barnes, finalist winners from Hoosier Star will be featured vocalist. Also featured on the concert will dancers from "Dance Tech", "McNulty Irish Dancers", and "Flint's Dance Studio".

The "Annual Baton Auction" will also take place during the concert. Experience the thrill of standing before the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra, baton in hand, as together you produce music to the delight of the audience. Yes, that's right, you could be the lucky person to conduct our wonderful orchestra. The featured piece you will conduct is the well known Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever". Whether you bid with your own funds or get the help of your friends and family, you won't want to miss this opportunity. All proceeds benefit the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets are available in advance and at the door. Table seating is $25.00. Balcony seats are $15.00 for Adults, $12.00 for Seniors 60 and older, and as always, balcony seating for children is free.
