Come and help the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra celebrate
its 35th Anniversary at the Anniversary Gala on March 1, 2008 before
the concert featuring Carmina Burana. The evening will begin with
doors of the La Porte Civic Auditorium opening at 5:00 pm. Festivities
taking place on the main floor of the auditorium will include a cash
bar, silent auction and full dinner with dessert. All proceeds will
benefit the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra which provides
quality music to La Porte County and the surrounding communities.
Carmina Burana is filled with distinctive musical vitality, energy and
passion. There is no escaping the transformative nature of this
enduring masterpiece of the 20th century. Under the skillful direction
of Maestro Philip Bauman, the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra
with the assistance of 120+voices of the combined choirs of the
South Suburban Chorale and the La Porte County Symphony
Chorus, Southlake Children’s Chorus and 3 outstanding soloists
Elizabeth Norman, Ryan de Ryke and Mark Eldred will provide you with
a musical evening you won’t soon forget!
Doors open at 7:00 pm for those wishing to attend the concert only.
