The Symphony Center & Gallery, located in downtown LaPorte, at 614 Lincolnway, LaPorte, Indiana, announces a new exhibit beginning July 20 –September 8, 2007.
This new exhibit will feature two painters and a photographer as well as adding acoustic blues to the mix. Musician, Keith Scott, will be adding a little blues flavor to the opening for this exhibit on July 20, 2007 from 5 – 8:00 p.m. The Gallery hours are Friday – Saturday, 11:00 – 2:00.
Expressionist painter, Ginny Scott, mother of Keith, one of the featured artists, envisions her world through color, shapes and dimensions. Coming from New York, Florida and Chicago, Ginny now has her art studio here in LaPorte.
Realist painter, Janet Musikantow, another of the featured artists, has had formal training in fine art and interior design. This exhibit will feature furniture as well as works on paper and canvas.
Keith Scott, our third featured artist, being primarily a blues musician, seems to also have a little time to do photography. He has pursued photography with an eye for nature and the environment including intriguing city scenes.
Also available are the many artistic gifts located in the Gallery Shop. Presently there are more than seventeen (17) area artists represented in the Shop.
