The Symphony Center and Gallery located at 614 Lincolnway in LaPorte, Indiana presents the exhibit “Wings & Things” featuring artwork in a variety of media with an emphasis on things, mostly with wings. This exhibit opens with a reception open to the public with the artists on Friday, March 30 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. The exhibit will continue at the Gallery until May 26, 2007.

Sculptures of recycled materials by Robert Moffett of South Bend, mobiles and stabiles by Roy Quiriconi of Michiana, and steel fabrications by Ed Wedow of LaPorte will excite your imagination. Two-dimensional works by Megan Bluhm of Ypsilanti, Jason Cytacki of South Bend, Schmidt-Marken Designs of LaPorte, Shirley Natoli of South Bend, Judy Smith of La Porte, JoFran Bendix of Michiana and Merry Johnson of Michigan City will encompass acrylic, oil, and watercolor painting, illustration, photography, and mixed media.

And on exhibition are Fairy Dwellings created in the miniature scale of one inch to one foot. Cicely Mary Barker Flower Fairy collectables are included in many of these creations by miniaturist JoFran Bendix. Escape from the everyday world and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of miniatures.
