Starry Night La Porte Auction
In November, the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra invited Thaddeus and Laura Cutler to create a visual art piece during a concert. As jazz singer Jackie Allen sang a selection of star themed songs, the artists created a Van Gogh inspired impressionistic work. This music-inspired acrylic painting on canvas was hung the next day at the Thaddeus C. Gallery located at 822 Lincolnway in La Porte. Upon visiting this contemporary gallery, it is easy to see where their inspiration came from, as the gallery is located directly across the street from the county courthouse. People are welcome to view the detail of this amazing work of art in person until it is sold. The gallery’s business hours are Thursday-Friday 10 am-6pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.
Bids are now being accepted through the symphony office until midnight on January 28th to sell the work. Individuals and businesses that are interested in this work may phone or email to place a bid on this special piece. The symphony office will post the highest bid on their website as a reference for those interested. Leave a message at 219 362-9020 or email info@LCSO.net. The artists have generously agreed to share half of the proceeds of this painting with the LCSO.
