Friends of the Symphony
The Friends of the Symphony organization was formed in January 2005 to assist the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra in a number of ways. Members encourage and stimulate interest in the orchestra and its activities, initiate and support educational programs, arrange and promote fundraising activities and events, learn about music and cultural opportunities in the region and have fun. The Friends are an integral part of the concert season and help develop and implement events, concerts, music education, marketing plans, fund development and provide important administrative help.
All are welcome to join us for our bi-monthly luncheons. These luncheons are understanding of time constraints and are finished by 1:00 pm. However, there are many who stay to mingle with friends. It is an enjoyable time with great food, announcements of activities and information about upcoming concerts.
