June - July 15, 2007
614 Lincolnway, La Porte
Opening: Friday, June 1, 2007
5:00pm – 8:00pm
The Symphony Center & Gallery announces its next exhibit opening Friday, June 1, 2007 with a free reception open to the public from 5 – 8:00 p.m. for two very accomplished painters, Tom Olesker and Dana Dabagia, both from Michiana Shores. Michiana Shores, Indiana, has been a summer residence for Tom’s family for a very long while. Dana is a full time resident of Michiana Shores.
Tom’s work will feature people and places. Although having 40+ years in the apparel industry it wasn’t until age 60 that a paint brush was to become an ever-changing influence of his artistic self. “So,” as he says, “the journey begins and ‘that thing’ inside me dictates the road it will take.”
Dana, on the other hand, will feature only her floral works. Dana paints because she must. Painting started as a hobby but has become quite an odyssey – “up close and personal.”
This exhibit will be at the Symphony Center & Gallery, 614 Lincolnway, LaPorte, Indiana from June 1 – July 14, 2007. The Gallery hours are Friday and Saturday, 11:00 – 2:00.
Also available are the many artistic gifts located in the Gallery Shop. Presently there are seventeen (17) area artists represented.
Pease help us welcome these artists to the LaPorte Community at the reception Friday, June 1, from 5 – 8:00P.M.
