LAPORTE COUNTY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Endowment Fund

Endowment Gift

In addition to encouraging annual gifts by individuals and organizations, the Symphony Board has created an Endowment Fund. Investment income from The LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra's endowment helps assure that programs and activities continue. An endowment gift can be designated toward a specific project or as an unrestricted gift for the Orchestra's most important annual needs.

The growth of the Endowment Fund will provide funding to assure that the quality of programming for which the Orchestra has come to be known will not be compromised. New initiatives are needed to help more people know about, understand and celebrate the great music of all times. Gifts of any amount will be appreciated and all donors will be recognized in the annual report of the Orchestra and in concert program booklets (unless anonymity is requested).

Planned Giving

In addition to Annual and Endowment Giving, the following avenues for giving have been established by the Board of Directors:

The Symphony Society - honors those who have included bequests to the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra in their estate plans. Membership is also open to persons who have made a planned gift such as charitable lead or charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, remainder interest in personal real estate, life insurance.

The Orchestra Honor Roll - recognizes gifts of any amount in honor or memory of someone. Acknowledgements are provided to the donor as well as the honoree or the family member of the person being memorialized when contributions are made.

Forms of Giving

Gifts may be made by cash or check or by transfer of shares of stock, other securities or other assets.

Matching Gifts

Many companies match their employees' contributions to organizations such as the orchestra. Personnel Offices usually have information and forms needed to take advantage of this opportunity.
